Di Livey’s practice crosses several disciplines. Her most recent body of work incorporates screen and digital print and an elaborate use of ornament. It takes images from art history and celebrates the theatrical. Its structure involves an intricate and flamboyant manipulation of materials with the intention of revealing the work’s metaphorical meaning. She investigates the fleeting nature of our physical being and emotional relationships, and seeks to comment on the losses that we experience.
Di Livey has shown extensively both nationally and internationally and has taken part in many exhibitions including shows in the Serpentine Gallery, the ICA and Kettle’s Yard. She has also participated in British Council and Arts Council touring exhibitions.
Her work is included in the Arts Council of Great Britain’s collection.
