Technology and Art – A Workshop with Nick Edwards

This is a workshop designed to introduce the concepts of electronics and coding in an easy to follow workshop. In the workshop you will be using the BBC microbit, a low cost powerful microprocessor (essentially a computer without a hard disk or screen) and the aim is that at the end of the workshop attendees will be able to write simple programs to read data from the inbuilt sensors and make thing s happen e.g. light up LEDs or start motors moving.

This can be especially useful for those that might want to use electronic technology for their installations or art work.

Although everyone is welcome to attend, children must be accompanied by parents.

This workshop will take place in our Education Room which is on the ground floor and has easy access from the street.

This workshop is free but booking is essential to secure your place please email
