September News

The three Summer of Art activity days were a great success.  A big thank you to everyone who participated and explored their creativity (details are below, if you’re wondering what happened!).

And now, we’re getting ready for the Summer of Arts Festival Day on 16th September.  Programme details are still be finalised and will be updated on Eventbrite as soon as they are ready.  We do know there will be all day arts workshops, live performances and lots more.  All the activities will be free, with no need to book.

And this year it will take place in the playground of Chisenhale Primary School, across the road from us.

See you there, 12-5pm on Saturday 16th September 2023.

Eventbrite info page can be found here.

Come join a FREE programme of arts activities taking place this summer across Chisenhale Art Place.

Now it its third year, Chisenhale’s Summer of Art is a family friendly programmed aimed at ages 6+ and their adults who want to explore their creativity together. For this year’s theme, we’re focused on empowering and inspiring as many young people as we can to embark on their own creative journey.

Join us at three Make, Do, Explore Days to get a taste of different art forms, delivered by a group of incredible artists from the Chisenhale Creative Community. From collaging to sculpting, dancing to photography – which ones will you choose? Each session lasts just over an hour and is geared towards 6-12 year olds to learn together with their adult (parent, grandparent, carer, favourite auntie…your choice!).  Booking of each activity reserves your place (a link is included with each event listed below) but we will try to hold open a few unreserved places for each session on the day.

To round of the season, we’ll be holding our Future Artists Festival on Saturday 16th September, a celebration of the work of future artists – expect fun, food, live performances and lots of opportunities to join in!  All ages welcome.

The Summer of Art is a collaboration between Chisenhale Studios, Chisenhale Gallery and Chisenhale Dance Space, supported by Action for Bow.
