On Friday 30th September, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October , our 40 artists studios opened to the public, alongside the two arts organisations, Chisenhale Gallery and Chisenhale Dance Space.
Additionally, family and adult art workshops took place on Saturday and Sunday and there were guided tours of the artists’ studios both days.
Saturday 1st Oct
1-2pm Painting workshop in the Studio Education Space. Artist Uliana Apatina and members of the our community “Art of Growing Club” ran a free drop-in workshop exploring painting to music. Suitable for adults and accompanied children.
2-5pm Family Day at Chisenhale Gallery. Join the Gallery for a free artist led drop-in art workshop inspired by James Richards’ exhibition. Suitable for all ages but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Also from 2pm in the Studios, there were guided tours running through the afternoon when artists gave short talks in their studios about their work.
Sunday 2nd October
1-2pm Painting workshop ran again in the Studio Education Space, with artist Uliana Apatina and members of the our community “Art of Growing Club” .
2-4pm Family Day at Chisenhale Dance Space. Leading professional dance artists delivered a dynamic free workshop for ages 7-12 years in the iconic dance space.
