Join Emma Gunningham, professional painter, to explore the links between painting and drawing using a variety of techniques and art materials along with digital photography. We will look at ways to improve observational skills required to paint and draw Portraits and Still Life.
Students should bring along a range of materials- pencils, charcoal, coloured pencils, pastels, acrylic, gouache and watercolour – and a digital or phone camera if they have one.
Numbers are kept low to ensure that every person is given plenty of individual attention. The course is suitable for beginners and more advanced students alike.
Classes will take place on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm in our Education Space bordering the canal. Classes will begin on 3rd March and run for 6 weeks. The last class will be on 7th April .
