On Wednesday 16th February, we had the first of three sessions making basic wooden sculptures with the professional sculptor and painter Kevin Harrison. Kevin went over the basic woodworking tools with us; showed us the proper way to use a saw, hammer, vice etc and how to put things together using nails and wood glue. Basic stuff, easy if you know how, but a mystery if you don’t!
We made flowers, (or versions of what we consider to be flowers!) from off cuts of wood from Kevin’s studio- true recycling in action!
